It's a new world out there!

First day at my new job and i was almost late. Blame it on me for clipping my finger nails, shaving my facial hair and ironing my clothes only in that short period of time in the morning.

By the time i reached JE, it started raining and i tot it was over for me. Good thing is tat my new workplace and the train station is only 20 running steps away. So minimum damaged was incurred to me. If i were to b caught in the rain outside Glenneagles and i hav to walk into NParks HQ for work, i would had ran in naked and then keep my clothes somewhere safe so tat i can wear them dry after tat. *imagine me streaking across botanic gardens...* lol

Initially it was pretty much a culture shock since it's like throwing me from IT to Finance dept where i hav to see things at a different point of view as well as learning things from scratch. But it's pretty interesting the bbq we know actually has got so much more things to learn and to know so i kinda picked it up easily. For instance, y ppl need to buy hickory wood chips when they are not intending to burn it, y use lava rock/ceramic bracquettes when bbq-ing.

Had my lunch at Commonwealth market and man, it's really cheap there. I had Nasi Lemak set for $2 and a Cheng Teng (it was previously featured in "Buzzing counters" a.k.a "抢摊大行动") FOR ONLY 80 CENTS!!! Cheap and nice!

Well, since i was there for the 1st day, i hav to watch my language and actions to prevent any 'disaster' from happening. It's jus like getting to know someone for the very 1st time and u hav to do/say everything in the utmost 'politically' correct manner. However, my boss (a.k.a my mom's cousin a.k.a my uncle) was pretty cool as he didn't really carry a dao boss image, in fact, he slept in the office after lunch and play game after tat. I'm not saying tis to hao lian or to spoil his image since we really hav nothing to do today as there were no customers coming up. I used my free time to check his 2 websites which were done up by someone and he paid them 3k for it. One of it was seriously badly managed and the colour used was really not appealing...I feedback to him and luckily he was receptive of my comments, i guess working directly under a boss is way better than working for someone who is working for their client. haha

The day went by relatively quickly for me since it's still the 1st day for me. Hopefully my stay will b an enjoyable one since i will hav more time to do my own things there (e.g finishing up my books/anime/movie/drama). No more going out for me since i will not hav time for other le, i guess it's a way to save money as well ba, haha.
