TGIF, really, seriously and gratefully!!!

First and foremost, special thanks to Karen for organising this outing so well, Chia Han & Hui Ling for the dinner treat tonite (will be paying back though!), Yi Feng and the 2 kids-of-NParks-IT-Department-since-May-2010 for the joy and entertainment we had and lastly Terence & Benjamin for turning up. This is the 2nd time we had a dinner outing but surely the 1st when our manager and team lead decided to join us for one that is after office hour.

It seemed like this is the most entertaining Friday i had ever since i started working here. The day went back as usual with not much difference than other Fridays other than the trying-to-finish-up-my-things-before-i-quit mode tat was installed in me few days back. Where are all the missing items?!! Doing asset is really an annoying job to take over b'cos u will never know if anyone took ur stuff if they decide not to tell you, u will b looking for ur thing for vain.

Things was pretty much the same until after lunch when CH asked the 2 kiddos to check on the status of the outstanding cases tat were still pending to be closed. I was having fun disturbing JX-1990 when he was making calls to the users to check on the status with them. Of cos, initially i didn't know that he was on the phone with users since he was talking with his usual hand-over-the-mouth-while-talking-on-the-phone style which is common used when talking to a certain someone. To make it less explicit, i would say we had much entertainment in the office during that time. Heh heh...

So came the time when 4 of the peeps took the earlier bus to go to the Steamboat place so that they can reserve seats for our big group since it's a Fri nite where ppl will b flocking to town as if there were someone distributing freebies. Not a good timing to go if u r crowd-phobic.

It was supposed to be a 'double-date' for me since the docents were there as well but i can't really 'abandon' my colleagues as well since it's pretty much a rare chance to come out for dinner like tat. It's really not easy to come out with 2 different group of ppl at the same time... Sorry guys for 'pang seh-ing' at the last min, will b baking my famous Ah Xiang cookies for u guys as an apology and thx for the 'special' tat was made for me! haha
After the steamboat we had deserts some famous dessert store which i can't remember the name. The group ordered some fruit flavoured shaved ice which included the 2 fruits which i don't really know how to 'appreciate'; durian and mango. The durian favoured shaved ice was quickly reduced to air since it's something that most ppl love. Not me of cos! BEGONE DURIAN!!!! BEGONE DURAI!!!!

With only JX-1990, Mafia boss R, emo uncle YF and myself left after the dessert part, we headed to the arcade to see some 'LIVE' action of Mafia boss R doing his suave shooting-the-virtual-dummies thingy which JX-1990 had mentioned during the steamboat. Too bad MFB R didn't play the game which required him to do the 'killer' move which he had used and accidentally hit his lil bro (his blood brother, not the one growing on him) with. He didn't manage to complete the game at the end though since the 'enemies' were better than the one and only Mafia boss.

Emo uncle and myself went to play DDR instead but was quickly 'hijacked' by some random girl there. Right after the 1st song, the random girl quickly took over emo uncle's place and started playing DDR along side me (i hav avoided using "playing with me" so that u guys with great imagination can spare me the teasing part). She didn't stop until after finishing 2 songs and things tat i had to endure was her randomness which i was stunned and the horrendous stench tat came out from her feet. Imagine tat i hav to play 2 songs from the game which is approximately 6 mins and while doing tat i need to gulp for air to make sure tat i was well oxygenated, at the same time the stench forcefully went into my lungs which was seriously damaging. Emo uncle YF and JX-1990 was busy laughing by the side and i received my retribution of not standing-up for emo uncle since he got hijacked by taking in excessive corrosive air. THIS IS TJX, GOOD THING I AM STILL ALIVE...

That freak stench lingered within my lungs until approximately 2am when i was about to sleep. It almost felt like tat random girl placed her feet on my face and left it there for 6mins.

2 more working days to go and i will be gone from NParks. Hope tat there won't b regrets. Hope that everyone works happily and well. Hope that NUS canteen food can hav more variety for my fellow colleagues. Hope that everything goes well for everyone. We will soon b no longer colleagues but we will surely b friends.
