I suppose tis is my last entry for tis month. Weekends could never been better like tis after i started working. I feeling so rejuvenated after taking a long weekend. Best of all i had B&J's strawberry cheesecake icecream today, it jus makes me hungry while thinking of it, haha.

So to start off, went to the zoo with Ben and Jing Xiang. Well, it's kinda bcos i had another agenda to fulfill as well in the evening at around the zoo area, which is to get interviewed for being a docent (pronounced as "dor-cen" by the volunteers there, wonder if it's the right pronouciation?).

Originally i'm only suppose to hav one card to use since Choon Yew wanted to use it for today but cancelled last min so i tot i might as well redeem 6 tix using the cards and giv it to some kind random strangers. While queuing for the tix, there were a family of 4 behind us and we gav them 2 of the adults tix to them as suggested by Ben. Thing is tat kids can't use the adult tix so we had one extra tix left. While looking for the suitable candidate to giv out the tix, Jing Xiang spotted tis ang mo and his SPG gf. Ben was doing all the talking while trying to giv out the tix. It's jus quite an exp to see how a bimbotic and bitchy the SPG can be. It's like...OMG!!! I mean it's really quite an exp, lol!

It's really kinda rush for me though while in the zoo as i had to reach the interview place by 4.30 and it was around 1.30 when we gotten the tix. Based on my exp, 1 round around the zoo will take around 4hrs, inclusive of all the picture taking (depending on how cam-whoreish the person/grp is/are) and mayb some side tracks like taking breaks, having snacks and animal shows. Sad thing was tat i couldn't get to see all of the animals when i had to rush off for my interview. I disappointed with my answers during the interview though since i don't think i performed well. It's like i keep forgetting things tat i could hav used, could hav told them during the interview. Wat's with my STM? I can understand from their point-of-view tat they need people who can speak and handle situation well to 'protect' the image of the zoo so they hav to be strict during the interview. What i can do now is jus wait, wait for the answer to see if i get to hav the once-in-a-lifetime chance to work alongside with animals even though the animal contacts might b quite minimal (more of PR skills, again).

p.s SPG = Bimbotic, avoid SPG at all cost and any unnecessary close contacts!

Weekend Extended, Extra Longwinded

Due to some hiccups from the company, Marcus and I are now labeled as security-clearance-not-cleared. Got send back home on tuesday afternoon since we can no longer work in redhill for until we r cleared again.

The story is kinda complicated but i hope u guys can catch up with it;
it was jus another normal b-z day on tuesday and i was as usual somewhere in the building helping some user to replace ther PC when Marcus sms me telling me tat we are not cleared. Feeling puzzled so i asked for more details, Marcus told me tat becos we are employed under the agency (it's like we are employed by the agency then being outsource to NCS then deployed to DSTA), they only clear NCS to allow employees to work in Redhill but not our agency, yet. After tat due to security reasons, we can't stay in our workplace thus got send home (free 1/2 day for us :P). Bottom line, we hav to wait for our agency to be cleared 1st before we can resume work at Redhill.

We were told to go back hub on wed since we don't hav anywhere else to go. Thing is, there's nothing to do at hub also. I was prepared though, took it as a chance to finish my "Breaking Dawn". Since Vincent (the 3 months contract temp stuff) and Marcus didn't prepare themselves for the 'worst', they were bored almost to tears. Marcus even commented tat we might see him on the newspaper the next day with headline "Boy bored to death", lol. Went to AMK hub for lunch and we spend like 2hrs outside, i almost forgot i was still working though. Good thing about spendin so much time at AMK hub was tat i finally gotten the book i can't buy at regular popular stores; "Da Vinci's Code" by Dan Brown and it's only $5. Gotten tat at the popular roadshow but it looked as though they were selling the book tat came from local library, condition wasn't tat good but still readable lah.

Supposed to go on a forced leave today and tml but after talking to CT he gav us 1 day of off instead so tat we can keep our leave for future use. Fact is tat we only hav 12 days of leave even though we are working for a year, 2 days lesser than normal staffs. Good thing though, it's really a chance to take a break for awhile.


However, going on leave isn't really a good thing though. I had spent too much money today, haha. So let's see, gotten me-self a box of contacts from Yishun (since my free supplies from Ben's uncle ran out already), bought 3 tix for "Terminator: Salvation" (ARSE-ta-la Vista Baby!) for tis sat (family movie outing, sis will b working so left her out, haha, oh ya forgot to add tat my mom is paying for it, mus giv credit to her too) and rented DVDs from MJ jus in case i hav too much time in hand tml (Gotten myself "The Tale of Despereaux" (games included, how cute), "The Haunting of..." can't remember who and "Mamma Mia").

Anyways the person-in-charge for the Docent programme contacted me (thru email) and told me to go for an interview tis saturday. Wonder how it will be like?

Yayness for weekends!

Can't believe how slow the weekdays had crawled to finally make it to weekend. It's jus so not enough for weekends to have only 48hours, how come it's not the other way round?! T_T

I started off the day with only 8hours of sleep (could had been more) since i slept at 1 or 2 in the morning (strictly speaking today, not yesterday). Saturdays are usually my busiest day of the weekend since i will hav millions of things to do or rather millions of friends to jio me out (kidding, i know i sounded like benjamin, but i'm not him!). Went out with aaron in the morning to Admirty park yet again but tis time with our zoom lens though.

By the time i reach Admirty park, there were already like 4 or 5 slr owners walking around either jus getting started or getting started to leave. Not forgetting to mention, i accidentally dropped my 50mm when i took out my slr from the cam bag, SIANZZZ!!! Luckily it's still working fine though.

For once (out of the 2 times :P) i felt tat Admirty park was like overcrowded; there were so many photographers around and RP organised tis race event around tat area as well so there were lots of students running and cycling around, not forgetting more photographers for tis event. It's jus cramped up...

Weather wasn't good in the morning (was like extreme desert hot 1 hr ago and stormy rain after tat), so we had to leave early, didn't hav the chance to enter the mangrove area, saded.

Went home, took a power nap (without showerin >:P) and prepare for ippt yet again again (showered before going out, no worries). Well, same old results, passed everything except for tat damn sbj, it jus got worst and worst. The clerk told me, i can opt for partial pass if i don't care bout the money since i jus hav to clear my sbj within 3 months (and i don't hav to worry for until next yr), quite a good deal though but i still went ahead doing all of the stations, taking it as a chance to exercise also, haha. Shall hav a good rest tml, DND (Do Not Disturb)! -_- zzzZZZ

p.s People, pls don't feed Aaron when he is within Admirty park, u will get fined for it!

Wat am i doing?

It's now 8.25pm and i'm still at my workplace, didn't hav OT today but hav to wait for 9pm so i can claim for my cab fare.

Got tied down becos of some hiccups tat i hav to handle due to the fact tat i actually missed out tat the user's old PC actually had got 2 hard disk. Didn't manage to transfer his stuff over to the new pc until 7.20pm. If i take bus from here now it will jus take me another 1.5hrs to get home so might as well take a cab back.

Wat to do? Feeling so tired mentally.

Stressed vs Dessert

There's a saying tat the only cure for stress is dessert. I guess it's jus so true since i'm still having the sugar rush effect after eating the white fungus longan dessert from Crystal Jade with my batch boy and the so-call 2nd link, lol. Other than the longan dessert, the company tonite was another sweet dessert tat keeps my blood sugar high.

Seems like i've recovered from the depression i got from work, for the time being tat is. More OTs to come but hack it, shall find nite activities to keep me b-z and keep me away from OTs. Wonder if CCs or Safra hav badminton classes at nite?

Well, Angels & Demons was actually quite nice even though i don't really understand wat's the whole msg tat they are trying to drive at until jotay explains everything to me after the entire show. Kinda like listening to jap songs when u don't understand the lyrics. The show went to it's climax jus after like 5 to 10mins after it starts till the end. The bad thing was tat the background music makes my bladder 'trembles with excitement' as well, so i can't really enjoy the movie when it was left with like 20mins or so.

Went to take picture with the statue with the Angels & Demons statue but was told tat we are not allowed to. However we 'tested the system' by asking some china girl to take a group pic for us. By the time Ben handed her his cam, she jus keep on laughing and we stood there, posed for a long time, waiting for her to stop laughing so tat we can finally get away before the cathay staff manning the ticket booth chase us away. It's jus damn weird as we don't find anything funny at all, i guess we were all having the 'diaoz' feelin while watching her and waiting for her to take picture for us.

Had a great nite (not day though since i'm was doing my unpaid OT back then), and time jus passed so fast. Another 24hrs or so and i'll b working again, with OT till probably 9pm, yet again, sianz!

Fly me to the moon

"U will only need to work OT like only once per month at most." I guess tat's wat "Once in a blue moon" means, supposedly?

It's only about 2months in redhill and i'm getting more and more sick of it. The 'pain' is worst than how i felt during my SSC period. When u enjoy wat u r doing, working will not b a job, likewise when u hate ur job it became a chore tat u hav to endure every single day. In case u might b wondering, how come i hate tis job so much esp when i choose to work as wat i'm supposed to work as, it's because other than doing mild PR and setting up of PCs, i'm generally doing wat a factory boy is doing. I can't learn anything much other than helping users setting up their machines; taking out cables, connecting them, etc. Mayb it's still too early to judge tis job yet? I don't even know wat i wan now...

Day by day, week by week i've been trying to deceive myself tat i still hold some interest in I.T related job but it jus doesn't work out. After the contract ends i will definitely NOT continuing no matter wat. Seriously can't wait for febrary next yr to come so i can ORD from tis job. And to those who thinks tat i had actually made a smart move by working 1st so tat i can gain some exp, think again. It doesn't matter anymore even if next time i can't b as successful as others, i jus wan a stable income and a job tat makes me happy, not a chore tat wears me down every single day.

Mayb it's the pile up of all the lack of sleep, mayb it's the job, who cares? I can't even think straight anymore, argh!

Happy Mother's Day (Late Entry)

It's amazing how fast we grow up, not forgetting how fast our parents actually grow older each year without much realization. As Asians, we don't normally express our love out loud, rather we express it in different other forms; like a simple meal my mom will cook for our family, like how she will call and ask for our location when we are not back at late night, constant reminder of telling us to go to bed so tat we won't oversleep the next day, etc.

The day before Mother's day, i went to the flower shop to get some flowers for my mom; gotten 2 stalks of carnations and a stalk of rose, she jus loves flowers. When i got home, even though she commented tat i shdn't waste money on flowers but i can see tat she was really happy to see flowers, haha. So to use the opportunity, i told her tat 2 stalks of carnations means "Mother" and the stalk of rose means "I Love You". It's really weird though and i wondered y i actually had the guts to say tat, surprisingly my mom told me it's ok when i asked her if it's too mushy. >:P

On sunday evening, we went to Zheng Fa Live Seafood Hotpot to celebrate Mother's Day. We were issued a 'coupon' together with the receipt when we paid for our bills and the 'coupon' was to exchange for prawns and crabs according to the number of people at the table. Wat i didn't know was tat the prawns were alive, ALIVE AND JUMPING!!! I supposed tat's how they got their name "Live Seafood". Damn scary and it's really cruel to throw living things into the hotpot when they are still alive, after tat watching them being boiled to death. Haiz. Tat was so inhumane... T_T

Well, had been b-z lately and really lazy actually to update my blog, hopefully will hav something 'interesting' to update again.

The lazy bug is attacking me again, feeling so "nua" to update my blog already. Anyways, 15 more to my 100th post >:)

I'VE PASSED MY IPPT (if u count tat by my total score...)!!! I jus can't seem to clear my SBJ, NO MATTER WAT. Even though the PTI gav me 4 chances to jump (or rather unlimited tries if i can jus pass), i jus can't seem to jump to the 216cm mark. It's jus so irritating. FYI, D10 for a minimum pass and D15 for a pass with $100 incentive. For those who don't understand wat is D10 & etc, it's the scores u need to get, ie E=1, D=2, C=3, B=4, A=5 for IPPT. Tug jump regimes here i come...

Yay, gotten a D80 kit lens today so tat means i can sell away mine. It's kinda considered as a upgrade for $50 as i've gotten a buyer to get my 18-70mm, can't get to make him pay for a higer price though, saded. Hopefully he/she really buys from me tml and not like any other bad buyers who will jus 'pang seh' ppl.

Perfect cut

While i'm pondering hard on the possibilities my life can turn out to be, i came across tis issue on my mine. Is there really anyone tat is cut out to be perfect for something or is it tat those people jus happen to put in extra effort to work towards their goal, and since it's their interest thus making themselves e-zier to cope and stand out eventually.

For me, i'm always interested with animals and hav hoped to become a biologist someday. Well, it's a far-fetched dream but nevertheless hoping tat tis dream can somehow b fulfilled.

Day after day as people grow, some lost their way and became another person. Like wat the cliché suggests; humans grow to adapt to their environment fast. Once someone deems tat a certain way of living suits him/herself the best, they will jus live with it and not looking back. Even if it might be the best way to live their lives, will they b happy? To me, the best possible heartfelt bliss comes in the simplest form; contentment. Be contented and you will eventually find happiness. Cos life goes on whether or not you r happy or sad, angry or disappointed.

We look back to look at things tat we've missed out in lives and we look forward to anticipate the best and the worst tat might b coming in the future. People always missed out things but do they really look forward to fulfill them once again? I guess it's no point regretting on things tat u didn't do but rather not regretting on things tat r done, even if they are bad decisions.

Another day, another night, wat's going to happen after my contract is over? Stay tuned!
