My hp evolution

The 2 worst phones tat i had ever used; Siemens ST55 & Nokia E71. No comments for u guys, jus RIP, thx!

The rest of the phones served me well, thus a special tribute to them. Thank you nokia 3310 for serving me faithfully during my secondary sch and and poly times. Thank you sony ericsson w810i for serving me during my pre-ns days and sorry tat i had to abandon u since military sector doesn't allow camera phones.

As for the newest member, i shall love u till death do us apart (tat applies only if u die on me 1st!)

Life's a contradiction

I felt so helpless when my tots start to contradict each other. I feel tat i'm jus someone who worry too much bout things tat will not happen in the present, unlikely in the near future but definitely someday when i'm 40 or 50. I can't help it and they jus keep popping up in my mind. I donno wat to do anymore, help!

In short, make ur own paths, follow ur heart, don't get lead by others by the nose.

Condolences

Went to visit jon yap's mother's wake yesterday, good thing was jon was still quite calm and looking fine at the wake. I guess bcos his mom is still 'there' at the wake tat's y he don't feel the lost yet since he can still see her in a way. I won't wanna imagine how it is to b like to b in his shoes but i definitely can feel his pain of losing someone dear. Hopefully he will b strong enough to endure the pain, i know he will.

Headache is really the best word tis time

Ugh my head feels like crap now, it had been like tat since yesterday evening. Haiz. The keeper's attachment for FF was not really tat action packed but nevertheless an enriching sunday in my life.

The 'poor' soul who was in the station with me was andrew (the freelance photographer). We started off the day with the preparation of fruits and food for the animals in the biodome. I was tasked to bunch up fruits using the cable for the sloths and bats while andrew was b-z cutting sweet potato (and there were so many of them!) for the mousedeers. However it didn't take us too long and the keepers told us to go for teabreak. Basically during the teabreak we didn't hav much to do, jus 'nua' around as we jus had too much time to spare.

The fun part was after our lunch (lunch was almost the same as SFI food... T_T). I was asked to follow Jules, who is incharged of the butterflies and frogs, asked me to clean up the crickets leftover food. At tat point i was still alittle freaked out when i had to open the box and imagining the crickets will jus jump all over the place and over me, luckily they didn't. Got over my fear in less than 3 mins and i actually enjoyed them hopping around my hand when i hav to reach my hand in to take out the food. They were actually quite squishy and not as hard as i tot.

Then to the butterflies, Jules taught me how to differentiate the gender between the 2 common species tat they keep around biodome; the great eggfly (the smaller black butterfly which their youngs are the spikey caterpillars) and the jungle nypmph butterfly (the bigger white butterfly which their youngs are the ones with fake big spikes). Got to catch them and release them to the biodome and it's really fun as ppl will jus come over and look at them, asking qns and got awed by their beauty.

After tat Jules took me to the her saki monkeys, i guess there are only 2 in the zoo. The male one is called casper whereas the female is called sol. They are 2 lively siblings but HAV to b kept apart to prevent sol from getting pregnant. Anyways Jules fed the saki monkeys stick insects and i actually felt quite sad for the poor insects. I guess it's bcos we don't get to see them often in the wild (they are suppose to b good in camouflaging anyways). And beside the saki monkey enclosure is a display of the jungle nymph pupae, i hav to gather the butterflies again to release them to the biodome, those butterflies with wings not fully developed were all KIA (killed in action) by Jules as she mentioned tat it's the best for them since they can't fly and probably won't survive inside the biodome. Tat, i was stunned! But wat she said was quite true, so bo bian.

Last item of the day was feeding the lemurs in the biodome. We followed Janice around, and again ppl jus swarm towards us. The lemurs were really cute and they preferred peeled bananas so i had to peel for 1 of them. Wat a good life!

Well, didn't get to do the closing with them, if not i will get a chance to touch the 1 and only tree kangaroo in the zoo. Shall do it again next time, with a better camera by my side tat is...

'Headache' isn't the best word to describe

A lot of things are going thru my mind right now and i don't even know if i can put those things tat i'm thinking into words. I had went for the interview with Ming Hui's manager yesterday and some of the stuff he said were actually like a good tight slap on my face, something to wake me up from my fantasy, yet again. Not tat he had brainwashed me or anything but he really talk senses into me, i guess tat is how he speaks to his clients, 'slap' them back to reality.

So wat if i had become a insurance agent a.k.a financial planner? Friends will start avoiding me? Family and relatives despising me? Will i make big money jus like the manager himself? Wat happen if i've become successful? Will friends whom had avoided me try to take advantage of me? Will my family and relatives b so awed by me?

Things in the future are hard to say but i really hope i can hav the support from my love ones. Becos if u never do it, u will never know how is it like, how well u can do. You live ur life and u only live it once. Of cos, if my friends start to avoid me becos of my job and before i even say anything, i can't do anything bout it. And i will definitely not hard selling to my friends, strangers mayb. Of cos, i'm not shortlisted yet and i'm not confirmed to b selected, it's jus a scenario. haha

Problems like tis are unavoidable. I've tot about tis since i was younger. So wat is a definition of 'friend'? I'm sure everyone will hav their own way of defining it. To me, a 'friend' will b someone whom i can trust, hav fun, a good listening ear plus a good adviser in times of need, not having the need to hide my feelings or put up a fake facade and of cos someone whom i can love (friendship love doesn't hav to mean sexual or bgr kind of love). And to me, friendship is like a double-edge sword, once u know a person well, u will either accept his/her flaws and or try fading away from his/her life. It's pretty irony to say tis but i've done the latter which i had mentioned, i mean let's face the fact, who doesn't? However it's jus something tat i've hoped will never happened since i don't wish to b the one being treated like tat. In short, u can't hav the best of both worlds and nothing is perfect, seriously.

It's really sad to see in our society now tat ppl out in tis fast pace world are using their 'friend(s)' as business tools. Once rated as someone with value of achieving something they wan, they will b 'used' until the point where they are no longer 'useful', after tat discarded and the vicious cycle continues. Can't we hav back the innocence and naive days in the past where ppl who hav friends and those friends are those who really care about them and love them spiritually? Ugliness of such act really makes me feel like pulling my eyes out from the sockets. Ugh!

Bad customer experience

Ever had tis experience like wherever u went to, u will jus b having a relatively bad experience with the sales assistance? In tis scenario, i'm the customer. I'm starting to wonder if it is because of me being a bad customer or the ppl i face were simply not as friendly...

To start off, i went to starhub yesterday at causeway point to enquire bout several stuffs. It's not tat the staffs were rude or anything but i feel rather unwelcome and the feeling was totally wrong. Mayb it's jus me overreacting again.

As i am starting to feel poor again, i went specially to get some economic beehoon for lunch where the shop is jus opp united square. So tis is wat i had ordered; beenhoon, kong pow chicken, bruised tofu and cabbage, AND IT COST ME $3.80!!! OMG! I didn't even see gold flakes inside my bee hoon no matter how hard i tried to flip it around to check. Freaking c**** man is jus out to cheat ppl's money. Argh, i might as well go ahead and hav my subway meal at united square...

After dinner, i went down to starhub shop again with dad to do settle the recontract of mobile phone (my phoneline is under my dad's name so i can't do anything without his IC and signature, so troublesome...) as well as checking my ridiculously expensive phone bill. I don't even remember using the GPRS yet i'm still being charged for it, gosh. However, i was told tat the shop doesn't do customer service so i can only call the singtel hotline to check, on top of tat the mobile phone tat i wanted to hav tat comes tgt with the recontract plan is currently out of stock so i can only wait for next week for the stock to arrive. Wasted time and wasted trip, sianz.

Things still doesn't go well with work. I'm still doing saikang in the office and was told tat i might b going over to Nparks to help out, which means i will need to go to Botanical gardens for work. Still not confirmed yet but most likely will b happening soon, haiz. I don't even feel valued working for NCS, shdn't us b treated as valued customers as well?

A rainy Sun-day

Today was the last day for everyone in the docent programme to be in the common phase tgt, next week onwards we'll b joining our new 'family' and separated to our respective stations already. For me, i'll b going to Fragile Forest. For the benefit of doubt for those who doesn't really understand wat i'll b doing, i'm actually dealing with insects (caterpillars and stick insects), doing a 'tour guide' for guest in the biodome so it's pretty cool actually.

However, for tat to happen i hav to pass my test 1st. Today was also test day which the test is based on the management and operation of the zoo. Quite a number of ppl failed and tat includes me as well (since i didn't study and the test was freaking hard...). More tests (retest as well as station test) coming up so i'll keep my fingers crossed.

Something tat surprises me was tat they actually kept the naked mole rats behind the fragile forest restricted area as they have yet build up a display 'nest' for them yet after they did the renovation work for the Kids' world. The behind the scenes tour was truly amazing as there are loads of stuff tat ppl can't get to see even if they go to the zoo a million times. Sad thing was tat my compact cam is still out of batt and i couldn't find the freaking charger tat was hidden away at home, argh.

After today's programme, i headed down to Changi airport to send Eugene off. It's quite sad tat he forgotten bout us and left without saying goodbye when we were jus standing beside his other big grp of friends. Good thing was tat he still remembered to call back, if not i don't suppose he will hav a good time if he is to come back to Singapore for a visit, haha.

Well, life goes on and hopefully life gets better everyday. Kinda sianz of my freaking job and it's really a waste of time, but no work = no money, tat's jus something unchangeable. Saded...

The biggest anti-climax day, ever

Today didn't turn out to be a very good one as it's pretty much the most anti-climax one ever. I woke up feeling alittle sick with the left side of my head hurting like it's splitting up any moment. Bought a pair of tickets over the internet and ended up paying $13 for each plus $1 for the booking fee, without knowing tat THERE WERE NO DISCOUNTS UNLESS PAYING OVER THE COUNTER NOT THRU ADVANCE BOOKING.

So i bought 2 tix for "Ice age 3 in 3D" at 1.05pm at Cathay AMK, watched with janice in the couple seats area. And before u guys jump into unnecessary conclusion, i had asked everyone as well but they were ALL not free to watch, janice didn't mind watching with me so i went ahead with the plan. The movie wasn't really tat fantastic and the 3D effect was barely noticeable to me (mayb i'm to blind to see tat?). Kids were crying and talking loudly in the cinema so i didn't really enjoy the movie tat much due to tat as well (with the added sound effect), i mean i couldn't even differentiate whether if it was the baby's cry in the cinema or the one in the movie when the mammoth gav birth to her baby. Gosh!

While waitin for the gathering at 7pm, we happened to bump into minghui, who jus got off his work. After a small chat, janice went off to meet her friends at vivo and we continued to talk for until 7pm. I can see how he had become after he started working as an insurance agent/financial planner, the confidence and high self esteem is something i don't hav yet. Time to learn from the pro...

At 7, everyone met up at AMK mrt control station and while waiting for Jing Xiang the majesty to arrive (he is ALWAYS late, wahahahah), i went to the toilet to relieve myself. There, i saw someone wanking or seemingly to do tat at the urinal, i repeat, it's urinal not cubicle. Y do i hav the 'chance' to see tis kinda things everytime i use the public toilet, dotz. If he hav the needs jus use the cubicle lah, at least ppl won't get to witness his 'hardwork'.

By the time we reach the jap place, it was already almost 8. The food there wasn't really tat worth it for their small portions for everyone, good thing was tat wat i had ordered still tasted quite nice. Daryl ordered the japanese peas tat we don't eat so we had to think of ways to finish them, the easiest wat; Number code (Zhong Ji Mi Ma). Anyways, not many ppl turned up and those supposed to turn up pang seh-ed again (only Joseph, Jun Yu, Jing Xiang, Venjamin, Wei Heng, Joshua, Daryl, Zhi Wen, Wei Zhi, Jun Kiat, Ying Jin came). We had fun sabotaging Joshua and making him eating the disgusting peas. But a series of anti climax starts after the fun, the cam i brought was out of batt, everyone donno wat to do after the dinner so josh and i suggested going to liquid kitchen to chill, everyone went home instead. However, as a consolation, we get to laugh at Joseph for mistakingly wearing a pair of boxers shorts as beach shorts. It's pretty obvious tat it's a pair of boxers for it's flowery design, texture, cutting, the front part for the convenience of peeing tat can only b found on boxers shorts and it's length.

Well, i can only say tat he got balls (or rather really bad sense of fashion and identification of garments) to wear it and go to city area (without realising wat he was wearing). I bet tat's something he won't forget as for wat he did on his 21st b'day. haha. I had bad experience on my 21st b'day and i don't think i will forget either...

p.s JOSEPH TAY WILL HAV A NEW NICKNAME; THE "BOXERS BOY", SMOKINGGGGGGGGGGGG!
