1st day training for Docent programme...

Jus some updates for my docent training today. Training for today was mainly about the operations and managements of the zoo, everything was so dry, jus like attending some biz lecture. Yawnz...

The intake for tis yr's docent programme is 70 pax, however the turnups for today was 74. Didn't expect such a high attendance though. I am being put in tis group call the "Silver Otters". Initially there was tis guy who was in my group but after like 1hr later he realised tat he was in the wrong group so leaving me being the only guy in the group, so weird. As usual, me being shy and stuff like tat i didn't really tok much but luckily there's tis auntie (30+ yrs old lady though, i guess it's appropriate to call her tat ba?) with endless conservation topics to talk about so tat kinda killed the quietness between me and the grp.

Damn bad thing tat happened to me was tat the contact lens on my left eye got too dry for some reason and got my eye really irritated so i took it off after lunch, which makes me a half-blinded man. Saded. After lunch they took us for a tour in the zoo's restricted areas, our group got picked to go to the vet clinic. Well, i'll say it's really a once-in-a-lifetime experience as no visitors are allowed to go to the clinic. It jus look exactly the same as wat zoos in other countries offers. Basically they hav 4 parts to the zoo; the lab to examine the fecal samples of the animals, the surgery room for emergency & non-emergency cases and the X-ray room, the "wards" which actually is a place where they placed cages for animals to recuperate in peace and lastly the post-mortem where the dead animals will b examined for their caused of death. The zoo staff who brought us around told us tat there will actually b at least 1 animal to die everyday though. Anyways we were also given the chance to look inside the freezer room where they kept their dead animals, saw some dead sea turtles though and they pretty much looked like they were alive, jus frozen...

Well, camp will be next saturday. It shd b fun since the docents told us tat the zoo will look very different at nite and there will b a nite walk, so we shall see wat's in store for us. Oh ya, not forgetting a free boat ride tat i didn't take last week, cool!
