There's a saying tat if ur day start off well, the rest of the day will b good. How true can tat be except that the direct opposite happened to me on Saturday.
There was a planned train disruption between Jurong and Clementi on the 18th and 19th so i either hav to take bus 961 to queensway or train to bukit batok and take their free shuttlebus service where i can board the train again at clementi. I chose the latter but things didn't go as planned; i reached bukit batok late and so i tot i might as well take a cab to work from westmall so that i won't b tat late. Thing was tat i'm not the only person who hav tot of tat. The queue over at westmall was seriously crazy and everyone there seemed to hav called for a cab so i won't stand a chance of flagging a cab off the taxi stand just like tat. Oh, and the weather wasn't helping to keep my head cool. Good thing was that i was able to control myself from pulling any 'bitch fit' and start scolding the cab operators when they can't get me a cab.
Reached office at 11am with a astonishing $12.80 cab fare. Wasted money b'cos of the stupid train disruption, sianz. Sales was pretty good that day so i guess my commission will cover back my cab fares ba, no luxury of claiming for transport anymore this time round, saded...
Nite arrived and time to rush down to Harbour front (where st james is located). My initial guest list includes Jennifer, Gerald, Kristen, Jafar and myself, however Jennifer decided not to go, Jafar's grandma passed away and Kristen claimed that he had a meeting with his client at 8pm on tat day so they couldn't make it. Tried calling the whole world and finally came up with the finalised one which includes Don, Gerald, Xiang Zheng and myself. Really hav to thank them for accompanying me to such a disappointing event. Special thx to edgar for wanting to join me even though he doesn't club.
I shall elaborate how disappointing this whole event was; at 1st when we reached the Boiler room, most tables were alr 'reserved' and i happily tot tat b'cos we were the invitees, we were like the VIPs, but i was wrong. The club was not booked for us and the reservations were made by others who will b going to the club shortly, which means we will hav to stand around whereas the radio DeeJays had themselves cordoned off at their own comfort zone. There were no interacts between them and us at all other than the 'must-do' hosting thing on stage. Yes, they mentioned 2hrs of free-flow alcoholic drinks but wat they didn't state is that we were only allowed to drink vodka + any mixer, mixer or ice water, no beer, no watsoever. Plus, the crowd there were fighting the free drinks, so i only had 3 glasses. Damn sian.
Brief description of the DeeJays:
Shan Wee, 1.94m, looking cool but his figure is really weird. Normal guys' figure shd look like a 'Y' but his is an inverted 'V'. :(
Vanessa, she look like a ang mo version of Irene Ang with lotsa tattoo (someone told me she looks like a trans, lol). :(
Rozz, not much diff from her picture, but she is damn tall. :\
Sara Tan, a sugar babe who is casually dressed but stunningly beautiful... *droolz* XP
Devion, a cool looking guy whom i tot was some random person at 1st. :\
Muttons, the same as how they look like but slightly bigger. :\
The only entertainment i had was the one provided by the staff at the boiler room where one of the guy was cross-dressing and flirting with one of the invitees and Shan Wee. We left at 10.30pm (which was 1.5hrs later) and i swear not to go clubbing ever again. Clubbing is seriously not my thing.
One thing tat kept me baffled was tat ppl who clubs are usually above 1.7m tall. So does tat mean tat by drinking alcoholic drinks will make u taller?? When i was there, i felt as though i'm some underage dude who managed to sneak in without getting caught, i swear if there were more ppl i will seriously suffocate inside there since i can't get the air where taller ppl can take in easily. Super sianz.
Don pro claimed tat he felt drunk after only 2 glasses of vodka + mixer (and the vodka content felt like 1% after being diluted by the soft drinks). Not so 'pro' after all huh? haha. No fotos were taken as i was super duper disappointed plus i wasn't in the mood to hav fun back then.
This is JX signing off, leaving my readers yet another death-by-reading entry.
