200th Anniversary

Finally hit my 200th post! Nothing much interest happened recently so i will jus hav a compilation of wat happened during the last 3 days to fill up tis entry. Hopefully my readers won't get death by reading! haha

30th Aug:
My off day is finally here! Initially wanted to sleep until much later than 10am but i seriously hav too much 'items' on my to-do-list. Headed out at approx 12 to Raffles Place to pass my claim form to my agency (ex) as this is the last day of the month where they compile all of the claims for everyone so that they can tabulate the total for the pay on the following month. As a 'cheapo auntie', i wanted to take a bus from Raffles Place to Somerset so that i can enjoy the transfer rebate service since i had taken a train from Wdls previously. However, even by following the directions on the GPS, i couldn't find tat freaking bus stop instead i was walking literally in circles in Raffles. So not cool being lost in ur own country, plus even by the aid of GPS!

Shortly after, met up with Jing for some photography session around my neighbourhood. There is a sudden outburst of kittens in my area and man, they are really adorable! Too bad my house is not really pet friendly since everyone will be busy working. Both of us took a stroll to Woodlands Waterfront since it's jus beside my place (even when i'm living in somewhere ulu, the facilities around the place is fantastic!). I can say that the playground there is really fun, the only thing is the i don't think it is safe for kids under 10. Even when i'm playing with the swing, i don't feel safe as well, it's like i almost got ejected from my seat when i'm swinging forward at the highest point. The macquets around tat region is starting to get aggressive to humans as well all thanks to the people who are feeding them despite the fact that there is a sign stating "NO FEEDING OF THE MONKEYS". Thanks!

Visited grandma at nite who had finally got to recuperate at home. Her hand still look swollen after resting at the hospital for so long. She was telling me tat her stay in the hospital made her seriously lethargic. Well, i shall wait for her to get better before bringing her to the zoo since she is into animals as well. Like grandma like grandson? haha. That concludes my day and another week of work follows...

31st Aug:
Last day of the month and it's the start of a new working week. What's different is that i will only be working 5 days tis week as i'm shifting my off day next monday to sunday instead since i'm having events on; Breakfast with Ah Meng's children and grandchildren as well as the docents newly hatched eggs, tat is to celebrate their graduation (more or less). The other one which runs along side with the breakfast event is my bro's baby shower (a.k.a baby's 1st month). As a buddy, i will hav to excuse myself from any other things to attend tat lah. Shall provide a free photoshoot his baby girl and hopefully the pictures will turn out good since i'm a self-declared-not-so-good-photographer.

The day went back without any customers as usual (pretty normal for weekdays). My new boss closed the place pretty early as we were heading for a dinner event at the HQ at Bukit Batok. It was the HGF dinner by the way. The dinner was good as they were not stingy on the food (at least not for the roasted suckling pig, muahahahaha). However the dinner only involves "Getai" where there was only singing, no auctioning. If i were a judge there, i will confirm 'ding' some of the singers out immediately after they open their mouth. One sang relying heavily on their nostril strength whereas another blamed the key being not correct during the point when she was singing. The entire 'Getai' was quite entertaining and the costumes of those on the stage were really crazy. I remembered that there were 2 epics ones where one of the singer had feathers stuck on her head, where she looked like she jus fought with an ostrich. Then comes the most 'kua zhang' one where she was wearing a colourful chicken-feather coat, if she is much petite, i swear she would look like a singing feather duster! So much for feather-fashion...lol

Pay day come faster!!!
