The short Monday off
Slept early but still woke up feeling like a zombie. It's always the same old vicious cycle where i will try to repay my sleeping debts by sleeping alitte more on my off days but tat don't seem to work very well.
Programmes for day are includes registering for university at SIM, collecting my lens at Bedok and paying grandma a visit. I hav to take away the solo movie session plus going to orchard since i couldn't spare extra time for these things. Sad.
The person who helped me to do the registration told me tat i might need to go for some english test since i failed in my secondary school time. Well, i wouldn't feel as taken aback now as compared to the old days. The only thing i'm worried about is probably spelling, haha. But tat's not confirmed yet so we'll see.
Travelling from west to east without my earphone was painfully boring jus to get my zoom lens over at bedok, good thing was tat i could use my phone to surf the net. After much winding about and i was reeally grateful tat my gps was working well, i managed to reach my destination in one piece. Collected my lens and took bus 226 to Bedok bus interchange so tat i can take 168 back to woodlands. Bedok is a place where it brings back lots of memories, esp the days when i kept going to ecp with my pals for cycling and chilling. The food there is nice as well. When i was walking towards the bus interchange, the aroma of the BBQ food came to me like those scene in cartoons, thing was, i haven't had anything since breakfast and it was around 5+ in the afternoon. So relived tat my gastric juices didn't came flowing out from my mouth, my eyes, my ears, u get the idea.
Reached back home at around 6 plus and finished my dinner at 7-ish. Went to my grandma's place at 8.30 and left 1hr later. I was 'chased' away by her since she wanted me to sleep early as i will b working on the following day. However i only slept at 12.30am after i finish updating my blog. How ironic.
Anyway, i realised tat i won't hav monday blues anymore since i'm resting on Mondays. haha

Late update for the 'wild' nite
There's a saying tat if ur day start off well, the rest of the day will b good. How true can tat be except that the direct opposite happened to me on Saturday.
There was a planned train disruption between Jurong and Clementi on the 18th and 19th so i either hav to take bus 961 to queensway or train to bukit batok and take their free shuttlebus service where i can board the train again at clementi. I chose the latter but things didn't go as planned; i reached bukit batok late and so i tot i might as well take a cab to work from westmall so that i won't b tat late. Thing was tat i'm not the only person who hav tot of tat. The queue over at westmall was seriously crazy and everyone there seemed to hav called for a cab so i won't stand a chance of flagging a cab off the taxi stand just like tat. Oh, and the weather wasn't helping to keep my head cool. Good thing was that i was able to control myself from pulling any 'bitch fit' and start scolding the cab operators when they can't get me a cab.
Reached office at 11am with a astonishing $12.80 cab fare. Wasted money b'cos of the stupid train disruption, sianz. Sales was pretty good that day so i guess my commission will cover back my cab fares ba, no luxury of claiming for transport anymore this time round, saded...
Nite arrived and time to rush down to Harbour front (where st james is located). My initial guest list includes Jennifer, Gerald, Kristen, Jafar and myself, however Jennifer decided not to go, Jafar's grandma passed away and Kristen claimed that he had a meeting with his client at 8pm on tat day so they couldn't make it. Tried calling the whole world and finally came up with the finalised one which includes Don, Gerald, Xiang Zheng and myself. Really hav to thank them for accompanying me to such a disappointing event. Special thx to edgar for wanting to join me even though he doesn't club.
I shall elaborate how disappointing this whole event was; at 1st when we reached the Boiler room, most tables were alr 'reserved' and i happily tot tat b'cos we were the invitees, we were like the VIPs, but i was wrong. The club was not booked for us and the reservations were made by others who will b going to the club shortly, which means we will hav to stand around whereas the radio DeeJays had themselves cordoned off at their own comfort zone. There were no interacts between them and us at all other than the 'must-do' hosting thing on stage. Yes, they mentioned 2hrs of free-flow alcoholic drinks but wat they didn't state is that we were only allowed to drink vodka + any mixer, mixer or ice water, no beer, no watsoever. Plus, the crowd there were fighting the free drinks, so i only had 3 glasses. Damn sian.
Brief description of the DeeJays:
Shan Wee, 1.94m, looking cool but his figure is really weird. Normal guys' figure shd look like a 'Y' but his is an inverted 'V'. :(
Vanessa, she look like a ang mo version of Irene Ang with lotsa tattoo (someone told me she looks like a trans, lol). :(
Rozz, not much diff from her picture, but she is damn tall. :\
Sara Tan, a sugar babe who is casually dressed but stunningly beautiful... *droolz* XP
Devion, a cool looking guy whom i tot was some random person at 1st. :\
Muttons, the same as how they look like but slightly bigger. :\
The only entertainment i had was the one provided by the staff at the boiler room where one of the guy was cross-dressing and flirting with one of the invitees and Shan Wee. We left at 10.30pm (which was 1.5hrs later) and i swear not to go clubbing ever again. Clubbing is seriously not my thing.
One thing tat kept me baffled was tat ppl who clubs are usually above 1.7m tall. So does tat mean tat by drinking alcoholic drinks will make u taller?? When i was there, i felt as though i'm some underage dude who managed to sneak in without getting caught, i swear if there were more ppl i will seriously suffocate inside there since i can't get the air where taller ppl can take in easily. Super sianz.
Don pro claimed tat he felt drunk after only 2 glasses of vodka + mixer (and the vodka content felt like 1% after being diluted by the soft drinks). Not so 'pro' after all huh? haha. No fotos were taken as i was super duper disappointed plus i wasn't in the mood to hav fun back then.
This is JX signing off, leaving my readers yet another death-by-reading entry.

The All-Singaporean Reject
The day has finally arrived! I've finally received the invitation thru sms this afternoon and tis is seriously a very long wait. I had even thought that there's some problem with my phone tat's y i didn't receive it (and there's seriously some problem with my phone where it kept dropping calls for no apparent reason).
I hav got to say, tml is really a very special day; everyone seemed to be busy with something. I tried so hard jioing ppl out but only a few can make it. Good thing i managed to gathered 3 ppl from army to acc me there. Those whom i had jio had fulfilled the criteria of at least 2 characteristic; clubber (or ex-clubber), sociable (basically a social butterfly) and most imptly, a good drinker (so at least they can send me back if i happen to b drunk, which i doubt i will drink alot since i hav to work on the following day). Anyway, there's train disruption again tml, sianz.
Frankly speaking, i think girls arevery EXTREMELY fickle-minded animals. One minute she in, the other she's out, goddamm project runway or rather Project run-away! Ugh, if not then i must hav an aura (definitely not odour!) tat shuns them away. I guess i really hav got weak heart for rejections, NO MORE ORGANISING OF EVENTS FROM ME ANYMORE, YAY!
Monday's jus 2 more working days away and it will b well-packed again, as usual. I might be catching "Step up 3d" before they decide to not show it anymore, probably at the 1250 timeslot. Watching movie alone really isn't that bad u know? u guys shd try it sometime!
Can't wait for my 1st 'clubbing' exp tml. Well, technically speaking it's not clubbing since there will b a 'live' band there performing for us. So i suppose it will b some chilling out event where ppl jus go there and socialise and drink, FOR FREE! More updates coming up probably on sunday since i will most likely to come back 1/2 dead, dead tired tat is. LET'S BOOGIE WOOGIE!

Hari Raya Puasa Special
Working on a public holiday was a drag. Dragging myself out of the my comfy was another issue i hav to face every morning and it's no easy feat. The 'Z' monster with its empire of 'Z' minions attacks me like there's no tml. Ok, enough of crapping around.
I started my day like no other, listening to 987fm while travelling from Woodlands to Commonwealth. I had texted in some cheesy pick-up line yesterday and the DeeJays decided to use mine as a joke for others to laugh at (not the evil way) and by doing so, they kinda like tell other's that "You are not the winner".
It's not like i'm desperately wanting to win the RSVP event invites, I actually texted in for the fun sake of it. Anyway, they wanted a bogus title for urself so that u can put on ur namecard (if u hav one), so i texted in "The hotplate that leaves u sizzling every nite". The thing is that after hearing for so many days, i figured tat only those cheesy and subjective ones (sexual puns intended) will win. It's really nice to hear ur name on national radio as there are so many ppl in Singapore and i get to hog the air time for at least 4 seconds. Woot!
Oh, so back to my story. Since i didn't win when i texted in yesterday, i didn't expect anything anymore. While listening to the radio when i was on the train, i heard my name announced again by Vanessa and she mentioned that she tried calling me but i didn't pick up. I'm beginning to suspect tat b'cos they used my entry from the day before, they can't simply call me when i can expose them anytime? Well, it's either my lousy phone couldn't receive their call at tat time or they didn't call me at all. Doesn't matter since i've won! yay!
Rushed down to Shirley's place right after work for the FF gathering and man, her place is freaking big, not forgetting ulu as well. I love the open concept of her backyard and how she decorated her house with pictures which she had taken earlier on in life.
When night falls, the frogs at her garden started croaking and the place became sort of like a countryside resort to me out of a sudden. If i were rich, i will surely wan to own one of a place like tat. It's seriously an amazing place.
The FF 'hatchings' and seniors had fun and the tiramisu Shirley had made for us was superb. It wasn't as bitterish as i had imagined. The gathering was really quite a good one as we didn't really need to rely on games to kill time, we chatted instead and know more bout Shirley (since she's the host) plus her experiences with wildlife and overseas trips.
So looking forward for a holiday rite now so tat i can throw away all my troubles and enjoy myself. Working like tat is really starting to take a toll on me. Going to sleep soon so that i can prepare my battle with the 'Z' monster.

200th Anniversary
Finally hit my 200th post! Nothing much interest happened recently so i will jus hav a compilation of wat happened during the last 3 days to fill up tis entry. Hopefully my readers won't get death by reading! haha
30th Aug:
My off day is finally here! Initially wanted to sleep until much later than 10am but i seriously hav too much 'items' on my to-do-list. Headed out at approx 12 to Raffles Place to pass my claim form to my agency (ex) as this is the last day of the month where they compile all of the claims for everyone so that they can tabulate the total for the pay on the following month. As a 'cheapo auntie', i wanted to take a bus from Raffles Place to Somerset so that i can enjoy the transfer rebate service since i had taken a train from Wdls previously. However, even by following the directions on the GPS, i couldn't find tat freaking bus stop instead i was walking literally in circles in Raffles. So not cool being lost in ur own country, plus even by the aid of GPS!
Shortly after, met up with Jing for some photography session around my neighbourhood. There is a sudden outburst of kittens in my area and man, they are really adorable! Too bad my house is not really pet friendly since everyone will be busy working. Both of us took a stroll to Woodlands Waterfront since it's jus beside my place (even when i'm living in somewhere ulu, the facilities around the place is fantastic!). I can say that the playground there is really fun, the only thing is the i don't think it is safe for kids under 10. Even when i'm playing with the swing, i don't feel safe as well, it's like i almost got ejected from my seat when i'm swinging forward at the highest point. The macquets around tat region is starting to get aggressive to humans as well all thanks to the people who are feeding them despite the fact that there is a sign stating "NO FEEDING OF THE MONKEYS". Thanks!
Visited grandma at nite who had finally got to recuperate at home. Her hand still look swollen after resting at the hospital for so long. She was telling me tat her stay in the hospital made her seriously lethargic. Well, i shall wait for her to get better before bringing her to the zoo since she is into animals as well. Like grandma like grandson? haha. That concludes my day and another week of work follows...
31st Aug:
Last day of the month and it's the start of a new working week. What's different is that i will only be working 5 days tis week as i'm shifting my off day next monday to sunday instead since i'm having events on; Breakfast with Ah Meng's children and grandchildren as well as the docents newly hatched eggs, tat is to celebrate their graduation (more or less). The other one which runs along side with the breakfast event is my bro's baby shower (a.k.a baby's 1st month). As a buddy, i will hav to excuse myself from any other things to attend tat lah. Shall provide a free photoshoot his baby girl and hopefully the pictures will turn out good since i'm a self-declared-not-so-good-photographer.
The day went back without any customers as usual (pretty normal for weekdays). My new boss closed the place pretty early as we were heading for a dinner event at the HQ at Bukit Batok. It was the HGF dinner by the way. The dinner was good as they were not stingy on the food (at least not for the roasted suckling pig, muahahahaha). However the dinner only involves "Getai" where there was only singing, no auctioning. If i were a judge there, i will confirm 'ding' some of the singers out immediately after they open their mouth. One sang relying heavily on their nostril strength whereas another blamed the key being not correct during the point when she was singing. The entire 'Getai' was quite entertaining and the costumes of those on the stage were really crazy. I remembered that there were 2 epics ones where one of the singer had feathers stuck on her head, where she looked like she jus fought with an ostrich. Then comes the most 'kua zhang' one where she was wearing a colourful chicken-feather coat, if she is much petite, i swear she would look like a singing feather duster! So much for feather-fashion...lol
Pay day come faster!!!

Life goes on
This is post 199 and it's almost 4 years since my 1st entry. It's been 2 years after i've ORD-ed and 4 years since i last touched a textbook (just a metaphoric expression since i've touched them when i was doing my spring cleaning). Everything above was jus to measure how much time had passed for me.
Recently, i've checked out 2 unis for the course i wanted to take and it seemed like SIM offered a better deal for me since i only hav to study for 1 year and the sch fee for tat final yr is around $15k. Jus when i'm pretty much hyped up about going back to sch, mom asked me if i can postpone studying till next year. I guess the financial burden at home haven't really lighten after so long.
Tat actually troubled me alot as i need to reevaluate the whole situation; risking to fail final yr and waste $15k as i've returned most of my IT based knowledge back to my lecturers already or to waste another yr as a poly diploma grad in the society. I've told my mom tat i will go ahead and apply for SIM as i might not be able to get in. No matter wat the outcome might b like, i guess life goes on. Earth won't stop rotating even if i fall so I won't take tis as a failure but a learning experience, so for those out there whom i know, pls be supportive of me.
Heard the AM Jam team from 987 tis morning and they were asking wat do we hate and love about life. I guess i hate the fact tat the root of all evil really make the world goes round (not literally but u get the idea) and the thing i love is how humanity can giv love without expecting anything back, tat's the beauty of it. One of the listener texted in and complained tat how she hated to b treated like a 12 yrs old when she is already 22. I suppose this is y the youngsters nowadays cannot think for themselves since their parents are so over-protective of them, even when making minute decisions which are seemingly insignificant.
Enough of all the whinings, met up with sis and dad after work to hav dinner at Woodlands centre since mom did not cook for us as she was doing OT. Dad had Hor Fun whereas his son and daughter decided to hav Astons. Dad was saying he didn't wan to hav too much meat so tat's y he ordred tat. Sis ordered chargrilled salmon and i had 'lame' chop which i had been craving for ever since Colin gav me a small piece of his long time ago. However the 'lame' chop wasn't 'well done' today as they left the insides slightly bloody. The blood water was gushing out when i used force to dig the flesh out tat was attached to the bones. Good thing was i managed to finished it but tat left a very strong mutton smell in my mouth. The dinner was indeed a good one as i had mutton and my fave fish, salmon, since i traded with sis. Simply loved the saltiness!!! Oh! and i forgot to the mention tat the waitress there is cute! lol
Work tml and the day after, i'm starting to feel more and more lifeless. Feel like K-ing someday, anyone interested? haha
