My Best Friend's Wedding (250210)

My friend whom i had known since secondary school had finally got married yesterday. I was invited as his brother for the day (not forgetting nite) and everything went out pretty smoothly.

It was 7.30 in the morning when i reach his house and 2 of his friends were already there. 2 girls sitting at the living room who he knew since his poly years were there to be his 'brothers'. Of cos, it's kinda weird to see girls as 'brothers' but come to think of it i was a 'sister' back then when i were in primary school, unknowingly. I was really shocked tat kah lun's mum still remembers me and tat is really nice and sweet of to b remembered by her as i had only visited like once in my entire life.

There were a total of 5 brothers (inclusive of th girls) at the groom's side and 5 sisters at the bride's side. Reached the bride's place at around 8.25 and good thing was tat the 'trial' before we can enter the bride's house wasn't really tat tough since we hav to follow the auspicious hour told by the fortune teller (not sure if i've termed it correctly). We had to wear super sized diapers (girls exempted) and eat 5 different food with 5 different flavours each, namely thinly sliced bitter gourd, 2 gigantic limes, 2 lao po biscuits, 5 cream puffs stuffed with chili and a mixture of honey and ribena (i didn't get to drink tat though since i'm eating too slowly!)

After fetching the bride over for tea ceremony, there was a photo session at upper pierce reservoir which ended shortly so tat we can go over to the bride's place for another session of tea ceremony. I was thinking if i were to b in kah lun's shoes i will probably faint, there were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many ppl over at the bride's side needed to be served. I've really regretted not to bring my camera in the morning to take some shots of the candid moments, too complacent already, tsk tsk.

It was a touching moment during the solemnization and i am glad tat i was there to witness the whole ceremony. Dinner was good but jus like any other chinese wedding dinner, shark fin was in the menu. This is the 1st time i have decided to stop eating shark fins since it's not good for health, hope tat it's a very good excuse to make ppl want to stop eating shark fins.

Towards the end of the dinner, kah lun was made to drink lots of alcohol. As a 'brother' i'm suppose to help him as well so i did my part to finish 1 glass of wine-cum-beer cocktail so tat he won't get drank for the nite. The effect of the alcohol took less than 5mins to make me feel like i'm going to drop and sleep there. The sensation can be felt at my stomach which was a warm feeling, after which my vision slows down and i could felt like my bladder muscle loses control, luckily i've went to the toilet before tat so no pee came out, haha. The effect only lasted for mayb 10mins before i can feel my nervous system being fixed up again.

Even though i'm worried about kah lun's life after his marriage but i still hope tat he can hav a blissful life ahead and hopefully a smooth path for his work.
